My 5-ton broke down going to the range so they put me as a co-driver in the gun truck. I didn't have my hearing protection. I mean who needs those when you are just firing an M-16? Well after the first set of rounds went off over my head from the M2 I was scrambling for M-16 shells to put in my ears! All our weapons were in the armsroom when the alert horn blew. I carried my alert gear, two M240s and an assembled M2HB down the mountain side to our tank in the motorpool. Thank god I was going down hill.

ColKGColKillgorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16525442150477092825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8729853142202369059.post-25174879846907507642011-12-05T09:17:08.724-08:002011-12-05T09:17:08.724-08:00Thank you for your service, both of you.Thank you for your service, both of you.Yeti's Yellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04869790601950316954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8729853142202369059.post-46430041977506765922011-12-05T07:53:02.563-08:002011-12-05T07:53:02.563-08:00Yeah, I forgot to add the weight of the barrel, oo...Yeah, I forgot to add the weight of the barrel, oops! Are you including the barrel weight on the M-2? Pretty sure it was closer to 80+ lbs with the gun set up... Just remember they were heavy lugging around, but simple and reliable shooting... Kind of Warhammer(ish) with Heavy Stubbers getting put on an awful lot of my IG vehicles :-)...Paul Chappellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04800315555473550635noreply@blogger.com
