Grey Knights: The New Leaf Blower!
So a Grey Knight army won the NOVA invitational, congratulations to the Winner of the invitational tournament go to Nick Nanavati who managed to use his own cunning, tactical strategy and skill to design a list and play it well enough to win the tournament! The finals of the open tournament also feature another Grey Knights army that was ground to bitz by the juggernaut that is Tony Kopach; the wunderkind who won last years open and this years Adepticon at just 17 years of age. So now with all the data mining from the 'ard Boyz and now the NOVA tournaments we can finally stick a fork in the Imperial Guard auto-win mythos, once and for all, right? Now that Grey Knight are racking up win after win and laying waste to all that stand in their way, we know they are the new kings of the hill and we can all begin constructing our very own internet auto win kill lists! Right!?

After Action Review: Fighting Grey Knights
I had the pleasure of playing against a couple of Grey Knight armies this weekend, both played by very capable gamers who are experimenting with their lists. Both of the two lists I had the opportunity to play were dramatically different and yet kinda similar. One game was a win, the other a loss. Both games offered some great insights into how the Grey Knights work. Below are some of my general observations about the games and what I learned about Grey Knights during them.

Observation: The Dreadful Dread Knight
For those of you returning from your mission to the moon recently, there is some big news: Games Workshop put up the advance orders along with pictures of the new miniatures for Grey Knights. First of all let me congratulate Games Workshop on the Terminators and the regular Grey Knights in power armor - they are brilliant. The heavy weapon guy with the triple barrel is pure brilliance and overall they are outstanding, so beautifully done that I have been convinced to purchase a squad just to build and paint regardless of whether or not I can play it. That being said, what in the name of all that is holy were they thinking with the 'Dread Knight'?

Observation: Grey Knights Marketing
For those of you who have been living under a rock for the last 24 hours there is some breaking news: There is a leaked PDF of the Grey Knights codex out there. It looks polished and well put together almost like a preproduction test created for game testing and editing. Which begs the question, is it a trap?
